AODA Accessible Parking Painting in Toronto
Handicap parking painting in Toronto has to meet the AODA Design of Public Spaces standard (O. Reg. 413/12). We lay out accessible stalls with the right width, the hatched access aisle beside them, the International Symbol of Access stencil and the sign at the head of each space. Each stall runs $150-$300.
Compliance documents come with every job. Property managers, condo boards and clinics use them as proof for inspectors and insurers.
Type A and Type B Spaces
- Type A van-accessible spaces are at least 3400mm wide with signage identifying them as van-accessible.
- Type B spaces are at least 2400mm wide.
- Access aisles of at least 1500mm run alongside, hatched so drivers do not park in them.
Ontario Building Code Section 3.8 and the City of Toronto Accessibility Design Guidelines add detail for new construction and city projects. We follow your approved site plan and the AODA standard.
Retrofits and Full Restripes
Many lots built decades ago need their accessible stalls rebuilt wider or moved closer to the entrance. We handle these as stand-alone upgrades or as part of a full parking lot line painting restripe. Accessible EV spaces are covered under EV charging station markings, and reserved stall lettering under stencil painting.
As a specialist Toronto line painting company, we upgrade accessible stalls across downtown Toronto and Mississauga. Request an accessible stall audit.
