Loading Dock Marking for Busy GTA Yards
Loading dock marking in Toronto has to survive the worst conditions any line faces: trailer tires scrubbing back and forth, heavy salt every winter and forklifts crossing the same apron as people. We mark docks so drivers back in straight, door numbers read clearly in a mirror and people stay out of the danger zones.
A full dock layout includes trailer guide lines, dock door numbering, approach markings, hazard zebra striping at dock edges and staging zones inside each door. Paint runs $3-$7 per linear foot. Thermoplastic for guide lines and approaches runs $8-$18 per linear foot.
Thermoplastic on the Truck Apron
Truck aprons are the clearest case for hot-applied thermoplastic. It is applied many times thicker than paint, fuses to the asphalt and lasts 3-5 years under tire scrub and salt abrasion. Learn more on our thermoplastic line marking page.
Inside the Dock
Inside the building, dock edges get hazard striping, staging boxes keep pallets organized behind each door, and walkways keep people clear of the forklift path. These tie into a full warehouse line painting layout and forklift lane safety marking. Numbers and lettering use the same kit as our stencil painting.
OSHA Warehouse Safety on the Dock
Docks are where trucks, forklifts and people meet, which is why OSHA warehouse safety guidance puts weight on clear markings there. Our layouts separate those flows with colour and keep-clear zones.
As a Toronto line painting contractor, we mark docks across GTA logistics parks, including Brampton and Mississauga. Request a dock quote.
