What Is Included in a Toronto Parking Lot Restripe?
Parking lot line painting in Toronto is more than repainting white or yellow lines. A full restripe covers every standard stall, double and hairpin stall, AODA accessible stall with its hatched access aisle, directional arrows, stop bars, crosswalks, stall numbers and stencils. We lay it all with Graco LineLazer 3900 and 5900 airless rigs, which hold a consistent wet mil thickness from the first stall to the last. That consistency is what makes a line last two winters instead of one.
Before the crew arrives, we walk the lot and count. You get a written quote that lists stall counts, linear feet and stencils by type. Nothing gets added once the rigs are rolling. For property managers comparing bids, that sheet makes an apples-to-apples comparison easy.
Layout options
- Trace and refresh. We follow your existing layout exactly. Fastest and cheapest.
- Re-layout from a site plan. We snap new chalk line layouts to fix narrow stalls, add capacity or change traffic flow.
- Compliance upgrade. We add or rebuild accessible stalls to AODA dimensions and add OTM Book 11 arrows where drivers get confused.
How Do We Keep Your Lot Open While We Paint?
Most commercial lots cannot close. Plazas lose tenants’ sales, medical buildings lose appointments and condo visitors lose parking. Our answer is scheduling. Retail and restaurant lots get an overnight 10pm-6am crew. Office lots get a weekend window. Large lots get split into sections with cones and caution tape so half the lot stays open while the other half cures.
Fast-dry waterborne traffic paint reaches its dry-to-no-pick-up time in 30-60 minutes in normal conditions. Glass bead reflective media is dropped onto the wet line so it reflects headlights at night.
Paint, Thermoplastic or Tape for Your Lot?
Standard paint is the right choice for most stalls. It is affordable and fast, and it lasts 12-24 months. But it is the wrong choice for zones that take punishment. Entrances, drive aisles, fire routes and arrows at busy turns are where we recommend hot-applied thermoplastic line marking, which lasts 3-5 years. Crosswalks with heavy foot traffic do best in preformed tape.
Mixing materials across one lot often costs less over five years than repainting everything every spring. We quote both options side by side so you can decide.
